About

Emily MacArthur

Counsellor and Therapist, Dip Couns MBACP (accredited).

I am a professionally qualified counsellor / therapist and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I use skills and techniques from more than one counselling theory. I can help you explore how past events and relationships affect the present and how you relate to aspects of yourself and others. I aim to provide you with practical tools and insights that will enable you to make positive changes.

I am always led by you and what you choose to bring each week. I am committed to offering an open, genuine counselling relationship.

I am experienced with a range of issues including, but not limited to:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Patterns of relating to others
  • Low confidence and self esteem
  • Unhelpful habits or behaviour
  • Trauma and abuse
  • Indecision or feeling stuck
  • Feeling more hopeful and future goals
  • Navigating life stages

I hold a Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Spurgeon’s College in South London.
